Join the Junior Ambassadors Club

WHAT is the Junior Ambassadors Club? The Junior Ambassadors Club is a part of the Charley's Columbia Backyard community
awareness initiative. The Club is headed by the Columbia Metropolitan
Convention and Visitors Bureau. The Junior Ambassadors Club is a group
of children who know their Columbia backyard well and are eager to
share it with others. WHO can be a member? Any child between the ages of 2 and 18, who has completed his or her "Charley's Checklist." WHY do I want to join? Columbia's
Junior Ambassadors are viewed as the most important young people in the
capital city. They care about Columbia, know it well and have a desire
to share it with friends, family and neighbors. They are viewed as our
junior leaders of Columbia, and future great leaders of our state. All
members of the Junior Ambassadors Club will be awarded a certificate singed by Mayor Bob Coble when they redeem their bookmarks at the Visitors
Center. In addition, they will be invited to a September Family Ice Cream Celebration, where they will be awarded their official Junior Ambassador medals. HOW can I join? Three short steps:
- Grab your Charley's Checklist,
which is the bookmark found in every Charley's Columbia Backyard book.
If you have lost your bookmark, you may print out the Charley's Checklist found on this web site .
- Complete the list by doing everything that Charley and Bernard did in the book.
- Take
your completed Charley's Checklist to the Columbia Visitors Center,
found in the Convention Center on Lincoln Street in the Vista.
THAT'S IT! YOU'LL BE AN AUTOMATIC MEMBER OF THE JUNIOR AMBASSADORS CLUB!
